All Velvette eyegear sunglasses are manufactured with lenses bearing 100% to 400% ultra violet protection. All the Velvette eyegear models are styled in the in house creative department so as to perfect the fashionability Quotant.

All Velvette eyegear are present with various colours in each models. In plastic there are Blacks, Reds, Grays, Browns, Silvers & Blues. In metals there are gun metals, copper , black & multi shades of browns. The metals used in the velvette eyegear collections are made from high grade nickel-silver.

The plastics used in the Velvette collections are made from polycarbonate material from general electrics U.S.A. (plastic devison).
 

The lenses used in the Velvette collections are of 3 types.

 Polarised lenses : These Lenses are of a thickness of 1.1mm. They are a maximum glare reducing lens, which blocks against UVA & UVB rays.

Polycarbonate lenses : These lenses are of the hardest nature. The Clarity of the lenses are one of the best in the business. They block against ultraviolet rays of the sun upto 100-400%.

Surface Glass lenses : These lenses are made of high resoulution glass,on the same line of lenses used by companies such as rayban.

Velvette eyegear is presented by the first family of sunglasses & optical manufacturers. The vast experience & knowledge of the velvette team is more than 50 years old.

Being in the sunglass Business for so long prompted the directors, to launch the brand velvette eyegear.

Optical business was started by the Late Shri. Sitaram Sawhney from Delhi. Soon trade shop & manufacturing units for optical spread all over the country, from Delhi to Kolkatta & then to Mumbai in the Late 60's.

Mr. Baldev Kumar Sawhney who is the son & second generation of Mr. Sitaram Sawhney took the business ahead with manufacturing in Maharashtra & daman. Wholesale business in the sunglasses was taken ahead by leaps & bounds in the shops of jankinath kidarnath in the 90's & now Kool-on optical Pvt. Ltd.

Himself being in the optical business so long he was selected unanimously one of the heads of Mumbai optical association. Since then he was taken sunglass trade to new levels making this fashion accessory more recognized in India.
The vast experience is thus used un selectivity choosing each design for the velvette eye gear collection for today's genre.
